Lingoo is operated by Smart Creator AI LLC (Wyoming, USA). This policy describes what data we handle, why, and with whom.

Data we process

• Audio: by default, microphone input is sent to our server and forwarded to Groq (transcription provider), then discarded immediately after transcription. If you explicitly enable “Share audio diagnostics” in the app, the recording, transcript, and translation are retained for support for up to seven days.
• Device identity: a random identifier generated by Lingoo and kept in the iOS Keychain. It contains no name or email and is used to maintain credits and link purchases on this device.
• Subscription status: product ID, purchase date, expiration, renewal state. Shared with RevenueCat for entitlement management.
• Usage: remaining translation minutes per billing cycle. Stored in our backend.

What we don't collect

• No analytics, no ad identifiers, no cross-app tracking.
• No transcript history stored server-side unless you explicitly enable audio diagnostics.
• No location, contacts, photos, or other device data.

Data retention

Audio is transient and not persisted by default. Opt-in diagnostic recordings and their transcripts are automatically erased after at most seven days. Turning the setting off requests immediate deletion of retained diagnostic content. Operational session metadata without conversation content is retained for up to 30 days. The random device record, credit balance, and subscription status are retained while needed to provide the service.

Data deletion

Lingoo has no personal app account. To delete the random device record and associated usage data, email the address below with the device identifier shown in the app settings; we will delete it within 30 days.

Active App Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting Lingoo data does not refund or cancel an Apple subscription.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) or CCPA (California): access, correction, deletion, export, or objection to processing. Contact the email below; we respond within 30 days.

Children

Lingoo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards for international transfers.
