Privacy Policy

Data we process

• Audio: microphone input is sent to our server and forwarded to Groq (transcription provider), then synthesized back as speech. Audio is not stored — processed transiently and discarded immediately after transcription.
• Account: email (via Sign in with Apple relay) and user identifier. Used to identify your account, sync credits, and link purchases.
• Subscription status: product ID, purchase date, expiration, renewal state. Shared with RevenueCat for entitlement management.
• Usage: remaining translation minutes per billing cycle. Stored in our backend.

What we don't collect

• No analytics, no ad identifiers, no cross-app tracking.
• No transcript history stored server-side.
• No location, contacts, photos, or other device data.

Data retention

Audio is transient and never persisted. Account data and subscription status are retained while your account exists.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your account record, credit balance, and any associated data from our backend immediately, and revokes the auth session. Active App Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; deleting the Lingoo account does not refund or cancel an Apple subscription.

If you cannot access the app, email the address below and we will delete your account within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) or CCPA (California): access, correction, deletion, export, or objection to processing. Contact the email below; we respond within 30 days.

Children

Lingoo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards for international transfers.
